Highland Park 25YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Our 25 Year Old 2022 Release has been created from just 12 casks – five first-fill sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and five virgin (unseasoned) American oak hogsheads, carefully selected and married together by our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion.

Naturally dark golden in colour, this is a complex and spicy single malt Scotch whisky, opening with intriguing aromas of sweet coconut and honeyed violet, underpinned by warm, woody spices. Flavours of exotic lychee and sun-drenched Seville oranges follow, with hints of oak-smoked coconut and heather-rich peat. Sweet and spicy at the end, you’ll discover a suggestion of aniseed, fresh rosemary and gentle lingering peat smoke.

Despite the wild winds that constantly beset our islands, Orkney has a surprisingly mild climate with few extremes of temperature. This, combined with our insistence on the finest quality casks, allows us to age our whisky for longer than many other distilleries, losing less to the Angels’ Share and producing mature whisky of exceptional quality and character. This superb 25 Year Old is a fine example of the rewards delivered by a long and unhurried maturation.
