Vintage Conditions
The 2020 vintage was magnificent, shaped by particularly dry climatic conditions.
Winter rainfall was extremely low at only 64 mm (75% below historical average).
Temperatures fluctuated during winter, delaying budbreak slightly into early October.
Spring and summer were notably warm, with prolonged drought conditions.
These conditions accelerated ripening, resulting in an earlier harvest.
Harvest occurred rapidly between March 13 and April 17, ending 3–4 weeks earlier than usual.
The drought and heat concentrated flavors in the berries, producing wines with fruit intensity, freshness, density, and tension.
Winemaking & Aging
Aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels.
Careful vineyard management and early harvesting ensured optimal balance despite challenging conditions.
