Jim Murray described a sister cask of this as "Exemplary." (94 points). We have one only of this Berry's selection, and it's all the more unusual for being matured in an oloroso sherry butt, which the bottlers say, is particularly evident on the nose where you'll pick up some marmalade notes, dried fruits and brittle toffee. It's also one of the darkest single grains we've ever seen!

North British is Edinburgh's last remaining distillery, continuing to supply famous blends such as J&B, Cutty Sark, The Famous Grouse and Johnnie Walker. They never bottle whisky under their own label. A high percentage of maize (corn) is combined with a smaller proportion of malted barley. Non chill filtered. 56.8% Alc./Vol.
