Vintage Conditions
The 2018 vintage in Chile was magnificent and recognized as one of the best of the decade, noted for exceptional quality, balance, and complexity.
Winter rainfall reached 300 mm between May and October 2017, slightly above the historical average.
Winter temperatures were cooler than usual, delaying budbreak slightly.
Spring temperatures increased significantly in November, boosting vine growth and vigor.
Veraison began later than average in the third week of January, but ripening was homogeneous.
Harvest began March 26 for Merlot and April 2 for Cabernet Sauvignon, progressing over an extended 9-week period until May 24.
This long harvest ensured optimal balance between freshness and ripeness, resulting in wines of outstanding quality.
Winemaking & Aging
Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
The long harvest period allowed precise selection and optimal maturation of each varietal component.
