Vintage Conditions
Vintage 2019 in Chile was magnificent, following the outstanding 2018 and ranking among the best vintages of the last two decades.
The season was notably dry, with only 150 mm of rainfall compared to the historical 262 mm.
Winter temperatures were colder than usual, delaying budbreak.
Spring remained extremely dry with only 11 mm of rainfall, followed by a very warm summer.
Water stress was carefully managed through early irrigation.
Veraison was slightly delayed but uniform, and harvest began earlier than expected.
The harvest extended over 10 weeks, finishing on May 27, allowing optimal ripening.
The dry conditions produced smaller berries with intense color, flavor, and excellent balance.
Winemaking & Aging
Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Careful vineyard management and precise harvesting ensured optimal fruit quality.
