About Arette

Founded in 1986 by Eduardo and Jaime Orendain, Arette is produced at El Llano Distillery (established in 1900), one of the oldest operating tequila distilleries in Mexico. Named after the Olympic gold medal-winning horse "Arete," the brand has become internationally respected for producing authentic, additive-free tequilas while remaining one of the few independently owned tequila producers in Jalisco.
