THE ESTATE

Area: 29 Ha (71 acres)

Situation: on the northern slopes of Saint-Emilion

Soil: Ancient sands and sands over clay containing iron deposit

Grape Varieties: 70% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon

Average age of vines: 35 years

VINEYARD MANAGEMENT

Pruning: double guyot, debuddling

Leaf removal: by hand, on both sides of rows

Green harvesting: if necessary

WINEMAKING PROCESS & AGEING

Winemaking: in small concrete vats with internal temperature control

Ageing: 65% in new barrels - 35% in one-year-old barrels

Ageing period: 14 to 18 months depending on plots

PRODUCTION IN 2015

Surface area harvested: 24,5 Ha (58 acres)

Grape varieties: 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Harvesting: from 5 to 20 October

Yield: 33,5 HL/ha
