Château Haut-Brion Grand Vin Blanc Pessac-Léognan 2007

One of the World's Greatest Dry White Bordeaux Wines

Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux 2007 Vintage 750ml

Description

When we talk about the white wine of Château Haut-Brion, the first words that come to mind are uniqueness, excellence and aromatic richness. Château Haut-Brion Blanc remains an icon in the world of exceptional white wines and is proof that Bordeaux can also produce some of the world's greatest dry white wines.

Official Vintage Conditions

Winter and spring were mild and humid, requiring exceptional vineyard work to protect the vines and fruit. Early leaf removal began at the end of June on the cooler side of the vines, followed by careful crop thinning to improve air circulation and meticulous leaf removal on the opposite side to avoid damaging the berries. The beautiful weather throughout September allowed for an unhurried harvest, with more than 200 people carrying out rigorous grape selection to ensure only the finest fruit was retained.

Official Tasting Notes

This wine has everything: balance, freshness, richness, complexity, minerality and intensity. We are approaching perfection. Nothing dominates; everything is in harmony. It displays a subtle yellow-gold colour with green highlights. The bouquet is intense, dominated by quince and acacia blossom with elegant oak notes. From the very beginning, the wine impresses with its remarkable dimension. The palate is full and unctuous, leading to an everlasting finish. Superb.
