About Château Pichon Baron

Château Pichon Baron is one of Bordeaux's historic classified estates. The property originated from the division of the Pichon de Longueville estate, with Baron Raoul Pichon de Longueville's section becoming the estate now known as Pichon Baron. Its wine was classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé in 1855.

The estate was sold by the Pichon de Longueville family to the Bouteiller family in 1933 and was acquired by AXA Millésimes in 1987. Historic bottles may carry earlier forms of the estate's name, while the property and its Grand Vin are currently presented as Château Pichon Baron.
