Château Mouton Rothschild 2020
Premier Grand Cru Classé • Pauillac
Description
Château Mouton Rothschild 2020 is produced by one of Bordeaux's five legendary First Growth estates. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the historic 1855 Classification, it is a superb expression of the Pauillac terroir and the château's relentless pursuit of excellence.
The 2020 growing season was marked by an exceptionally early vegetative cycle, warm weather, and ideal harvest conditions. Despite modest yields, the grapes reached perfect ripeness, producing a wine of remarkable freshness, balance, concentration, and exceptional finesse. Official Tasting Notes
The wine displays a deep, dark garnet-cherry colour. The refined and complex bouquet opens with remarkably ripe black fruit before revealing aromas of blackcurrant, aniseed, flint, and a subtle hint of cigar box. The palate is smooth yet full-bodied, supported by highly precise tannins that harmoniously balance elegant minty and smoky notes. The exceptionally long finish combines mineral nuances with black berry fruit, beautifully expressing the nobility of Château Mouton Rothschild Cabernet Sauvignon.
