Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1940

Deuxième Grand Cru Classé en 1855 · Pauillac

Pauillac, Bordeaux Red Wine 1940 Vintage 750ml

Description

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1940 is a historic mature Bordeaux from one of Pauillac's classified Second Growth estates.

Produced during the Second World War, this bottle represents an exceptionally distant period in Bordeaux history. Its appeal today is inseparable from its age, provenance, physical condition and survival across more than eight decades.

At this stage of maturity, the wine's condition and potential performance cannot be predicted from the château name or vintage alone. Each surviving bottle must be evaluated individually.
