Descendientes de J. Palacios La Faraona Bierzo 2017
Product Description
La Faraona 2017 is the rare flagship single-vineyard wine of Descendientes de J. Palacios, from a tiny high-altitude parcel above Corullón. The wine is centered on old-vine Mencía and is produced in extremely limited quantities.
Vineyard & Style
The steep vineyard is farmed and harvested by hand. Its poor mountain soils and exposure produce a wine of exceptional perfume, precision and mineral intensity rather than simple power.
Tasting Profile
Nose
Highly perfumed red fruit, violet, wild herbs, spice and mineral notes.
Palate
Layered, elegant and energetic, with fine tannins, vivid freshness and exceptional persistence.
