Hibiki 17 Years Old is an aged blended Japanese whisky created by Suntory and originally launched in 1989 to commemorate the company's 90th anniversary.

Suntory selects long-matured malt whiskies aged 17 years or more and blends them with mature grain whiskies likewise aged 17 years or more. The completed blend is then given additional time to mature, allowing the individual components to develop into the harmonious style for which Hibiki is known.

Richly aromatic yet refined, Hibiki 17 combines floral and ripe fruit notes with vanilla, elegant mature wood, gentle sweetness and a smooth, lingering finish.

Rose, jasmine, peach, melon, butter, vanilla and kyara, the prized aromatic wood associated with Japanese incense.

Palate

Custard cream, milk caramel and gentle sweetness with a light, smooth texture.

Hibiki 17 is composed from carefully selected long-aged malt whiskies of at least 17 years together with mature grain whiskies also aged at least 17 years.

Suntory allows additional maturation after blending, bringing the diverse mature whiskies together into an integrated and balanced composition.

Suntory describes Hibiki 17 as having a rich, sweet and floral mature aroma together with the elegant woody character derived from long-aged Yamazaki malt whisky.
