Description
Tignanello is one of Italy's most influential wines and a benchmark of the Super Tuscan category. Produced exclusively from the Tignanello vineyard on the Tenuta Tignanello estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, it was among the first Sangiovese wines to be aged in barriques and among the first modern Italian red wines to blend Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The 2017 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry growing season that resulted in lower yields and grapes of exceptional concentration. Careful vineyard management and meticulous selection produced a wine with remarkable richness, vibrant freshness, refined tannins, and outstanding balance.
