CHILE’S FIRST ICON WINE
OCOA, ACONCAGUA VALLEY
Seña is a unique Bordeaux-style red blend with a very Chilean soul. Its predominant variety is Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Carmenere, which clearly ties it to Chile, while Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc round out the blend.

Vintage Conditions
The 2019 vintage featured a warm spring followed by a cooler-than-average summer.
After a mild winter with low rainfall, warm temperatures encouraged an early and healthy bud break, with excellent flowering and fruit set.
Despite being classified as a warm vintage in Chile, the Seña vineyard experienced cooler summer conditions, with a total heat summation of 1,478 degree days—similar to 2018.
Cooling coastal winds moderated temperatures during January, March, and April, allowing for a longer ripening period.
This extended hang time enabled gradual sugar accumulation, balanced tannin development, and preservation of fruit intensity and acidity.
Harvest began March 15, producing a smaller crop with concentrated aromas and flavors.
The resulting wines show seamless texture, refined structure, elegance, and freshness, with strong aging potential.
Vineyard & Philosophy
Seña was established in 1995 as a joint venture between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi.
The goal was to create a Chilean wine that could stand among the world's First Growths.
The wine is Bordeaux-inspired but expresses a Chilean identity through Carménère and biodynamic vineyard practices.
The 2019 vintage marks the 25th Anniversary of Seña.
