Stella Bella Luminosa Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Tasting notes: Vibrant red. Violets, cherries and cranberries spring from the glass in an alluring perfume. Lifted red fruits and subtle graphite injects a southern Margaret River fragrance. Medium bodied with a balance of prettiness and a supple, salivating structure. Raspberry and cherry fruit are complimented by subtle hints of vanillin from the beautiful French Oak. Forest floor and earthy characters are lifted by a touch of fresh cranberry. It's medium to full-bodied, smooth and silky, with a tart, lingering finish. It's a gently tannic red for drinking over the near term. 89 points, James Halliday, Wine Companion This is clamped down and tightly so across the palate. It opens up with mulberries, tomato leaves, iodine/nori and lots of menthol reflecting the region but more so a cooler vintage. They all sit comfortably enough, but sinewy tannins and vanillin oak pucker the finish. Still youthful and bright so this might settle in time. 92 points, James Suckling Very polished blue fruit and plums on the nose here with gentle, cedary-oak influence, as well as herbs and leafy freshness. The palate is smooth and supple with power and charm, delivering plenty of blackcurrant flavor amid bright, crunchy acidity.
