Terre Exotique Fleur de Sel Nature
A treasure from the island of Madagascar, fleur de sel is an essential ingredient that will enhance all your recipes.
Madagascar fleur de sel is renowned for its light, crisp texture and subtle, refined flavor. Its purity makes it a high-quality fleur de sel, highly prized by chefs seeking a touch of sophistication in their dishes.
Fleur de sel pairs beautifully with a wide variety of dishes. Just a pinch will enhance and highlight the flavor of your food. On salad, fish, or meat, fleur de sel reveals all its delicacy and elegance.
Add a pinch of Ifaty fleur de sel to grilled prawns, or pair it with foie gras for a guaranteed success. Fleur de sel also works beautifully in desserts, especially chocolate-based preparations.
It is best used as a final touch, towards the end of cooking, as fleur de sel dissolves quickly.
- Fleur de sel cookies: add 1 pinch of fleur de sel to the cookie dough ingredients, then add chocolate chips before baking
- Swedish-style potatoes with fleur de sel: sprinkle each potato with fleur de sel and aromatic herbs
- Roasted butternut squash: use as a finishing touch for roasted squash preparations
- Spreadable: excellent in savory spreads such as wild garlic and fleur de sel combinations
Fleur de sel crystals are more delicate than coarse salt crystals. Their lighter, finer texture allows them to penetrate food more easily and dissolve more quickly.
Fleur de sel from Malagasy salt pans is the result of meticulous craftsmanship and ideal climatic conditions. A thin layer of white crystals forms on the surface of the salt pans as water evaporates under the combined action of sun and wind.
Compared with regular refined salt, fleur de sel is moister, crunchier, more granular, and more subtle in flavor. Regular salt offers a more intense saltiness, while fleur de sel is milder and more elegant. Fleur de sel also naturally contains minerals that are removed from many refined salts.
Nicknamed “Africa with Asian eyes,” Madagascar is an island of giant trees, unusual wildlife, and indigo-blue lagoons. The Ifaty salt flats are located in a small corner of paradise in the southwest of the island, far from pollution.
