The whisky started its life in American White Oak and was then fully transferred into rare Graham’s 30 Year Old Tawny Port Pipes where it will remain until bottling. Exclusive to The Dalmore, only the rarest Graham’s 30 year old Tawny Port pipes are used to enhance this expression.
The finite 30 year old Tawny Port Pipes work in perfect harmony with The Dalmore house style to create a truly unique 30 Year Old single malt, testament to the formidable partnership between Graham’s and The Dalmore.
The complex flavours and aromas that pervade the 30 Year Old Tawny Port have been developed through selecting only the top quality wines from Graham’s four spectacular Quinta’s in the Douro Valley to age in seasoned oak casks in the 1890 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia.

SUMPTUOUS FLAVOUR
The 2022-edition of The Dalmore 30 Year Old single malt has been matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in tawny port pipes which previously held Graham's 1982 Single Harvest Tawny Port. Aromas of juicy Victorian plums, sticky toffee apple, moist ginger bread, Morello cherries and warm brioche fill the nose, complemented by notes of Black Forest gateau, Maraschino cherries, freshly brewed Colombian coffee, soft chewy liquorice, Sanguinello blood oranges and dark chocolate throughout the palate.
TASTING NOTES
The AROMA
Candied orange, treacle toffee, morello cherries and freshly baked brioche
The PALATE
Black forest fruits, pear tarte tatin and Victoria plums. Madagascan vanilla pod, Napolean cake and shaved almonds
The FINISH
Colombian coffee, soft liquorice, ginger spice and aged balsamic, with a touch of Sanguinello blood oranges and dark chocolate.
