Saga R Medoc 2016

To the opulence of the castles that crisscross it, the Médoc responds with wines whose roundness, bouquet and ruby color go perfectly with many dishes. The Médoc of the Collection has everything of a great: subject to rigorous selection, it must meet precise requirements and the constraints of rigorous specifications: limited yields, impeccable maturity and purity of fruit, aging in the great tradition.

The king grape variety of the Médoc, the Cabernet Sauvignon, expresses the maximum of its natural virtues, already perceptible to the amateur of Bordeaux.

- 60% Cabernet-Sauvignon - 40% Merlot -

The 2015 vintage was characterized by a rather late bud burst, homogeneous and rapid flowering which took place in very favorable conditions (low rainfall and above-average temperatures). The month of July was very hot (with an almost scorching episode between June 30 and July 6) and dry (20 mm of rain as in 2010). The month of August, on the other hand, was very wet (90 mm on average) compared to the last fifteen years. Veraison (late July/early August) was rapid and consistent. On the scale of Bordeaux, the 2015 vintage is a very good vintage, marked however by a certain heterogeneity due to the disparate rainfall in August and September.

Colour: Purple and deep.

Nose: Rich, complex, with aromas of black berries, sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon) and empyreumatic notes.

Mouth: Ample and silky, with a rounded, fleshy structure. The finish is long and spicy.
