Chamonix Cabernet Franc 2016 (2 x 750ml)

At harvest the grapes are handpicked and will undergo berry-selection on sorting tables before the whole berries are fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks for 2-3 weeks. The grapes are pressed and after malolactic fermentation the wine matures for 18 months in 228ℓ French oak barrels with 25% being new oak.

Intense bouquet with scents reminiscent of dark fruit, red berries, spice, and cigar box. A wine of ample structure, fills the mouth with concentrated fruit and berry sensations.

Cape Chamonix Wine Farm produces a range of premium wines that capture the essence and splendour of the estate.The farm is situated on the eastern mountain slopes of the fertile Franschhoek Valley to the north of Cape Town. It was originally part of the first farm, LA Cotte granted to the Huguenots in 1688, of 290 hectares, much is planted with fruit trees and different vines of export quality. Moreover, it boasts some of the highest planted vineyards in the Cape.
