Ulysses 2012 is full of ripe red cherry, wild flowers and exceptional depth. Layers of spice notes and savory herbs add lift to the finish. A wine of great aging potential.
Rainfall was heavy in spring with 15.5 inches in March (versus 4.6 inches historical norm) and 2.8 inches in April (versus 1.9 inches historical norm). Temperatures were mild and warm throughout the summer and early fall, and ripening was even thanks to the absence of heat spikes in August or September. Temperatures peaked on October 1-2 at 101-102 F.
