Vintage Conditions
Following a long drought cycle, winter rainfall returned with 170 mm recorded between May and August 2020—nearly three times higher than the previous year, though still below historical averages.
After a dry period, unexpected rainfall of 54 mm occurred at the end of January during mid-veraison, playing a crucial role in homogenizing grape ripening.
Spring was warm, leading to early budding and flowering (5–7 days earlier than average).
Summer conditions were cooler than usual, with average temperatures about 1°C lower than normal and 1.5°C lower than 2020.
Harvest began March 24, progressed gradually, then accelerated mid-April, finishing earlier than usual (April 30 in Puente Alto and May 14 in Peumo).
The cooler conditions produced wines with freshness, tension, balance, and excellent acidity.
Winemaking & Aging
Aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels.
The vintage benefited from balanced ripening conditions, allowing precise harvesting and refined structure.
