The world malt series "AMAHAGAN" was created with a focus on "blending", one of the most important processes in whiskey making, for future single malt releases. This time, the 3rd installment, based on "Edition No. 1", which is an exquisite blend of overseas malt whiskey and malt from the Nagahama Distillery, making use of the oriental character of Mizunara, which is native to Japan and is commonly called "Japanese oak". TASTING NOTES
Light amber in appearance. The sweet malt aroma typical of Nagahama malt overflows in the glass, mixed with warm fruits such as oranges and red apples, making it even more mellow. As time passes, the nuances of the fragrant wood derived from mizunara (Mizunara oak) become more pronounced, and at the end, you can feel the woodiness of sweet caramel. If you put it in your mouth, you will find baked sweets of orange and fragrant brown sugar flavor. The sweetness is followed by a rich aftertaste, like bitter chocolate slowly melting in your mouth.
