Château Haut-Brion Grand Vin Blanc Pessac-Léognan 2008
One of the World's Greatest Dry White Bordeaux Wines
Description
When we talk about the white wine of Château Haut-Brion, the first words that come to mind are uniqueness, excellence and richness. Château Haut-Brion Blanc is an icon in the world of exceptional white wines. Bordeaux, too, can produce great white wines.
Official Vintage Conditions
A rainy and cool spring impeded vine growth and delayed flowering. A relatively cold and slightly moist August further slowed grape ripening, making 2008 a late vintage with harvesting beginning about ten days later than the previous year. Success depended on the quality of the soils, the expertise of the vineyard team, and countless hours of meticulous vineyard work. These factors combined to make 2008 an exceptional year for the quality of Château Haut-Brion Blanc.
