Kavalan Gin

At the heart of Kavalan’s inaugural gin is a rare malt spirit, made from Taiwan’s purest water source. Triple-distilled and double charcoal-filtered for a luxuriously mellow mouth-feel, this Taiwanese gin is an elegant expression of the subtropical land of Yilan and nature’s bounty. Eight specially selected botanical extracts, including tangy kumquat, luscious starfruit, and sweet red flesh guava, give this exceptionally fine gin its delicious aromatic complexity.

Colour

Crystal clear

 
Clean, elegant, floral (pleasant & refreshing fragrance of the butterfly orchid), fruity and seductive. With hints of honey, tropical fruits (mango in particular), pear drop, vanilla, coconuts and suggestions of chocolate.

Flavour

Refreshing and elegant. Delicate aromas of juniper berries, soft anise seed, and scents of coriander. 

A hint of sweet mango juice with that spicy complexity and gentle warmth on a medium, oily and citrus finish.

Palate

Rich with a long and full body. The thick creaminess of this gin envelops the tongue, releasing a rich and distinctive sweetness from the red flesh guava, starfruit, and zesty kumquat – varieties native to Taiwan. Perfectly balanced by a burst of refreshi 

Kavalan classic is the perfect partner for seafood. We suggest sometimes you can dilute Kavalan classic with water, the perfect ratio is "Kavalan Classic 1: Water 5", and add ice to cool.

Tasting

Based on personal preference. Spirit contests serve at 20°C for optimal taste.
