Laos Binchotan White Charcoal 15kg

Restaurant-grade white charcoal offering sustained heat for Japanese-style and professional grilling.

  • Origin: Laos
  • Type: Binchotan-Style White Hardwood Charcoal
  • Format: 15kg
  • Shape: Natural, irregular short hardwood pieces
  • Recommended For: Yakitori, robata, kushiyaki, yakiniku, seafood, meats and restaurant grilling

Product Description

Laos Binchotan is a dense white hardwood charcoal designed for sustained, controlled grilling heat. Its characteristic gray-white exterior comes from the high-temperature finishing and cooling process associated with white charcoal, while the interior remains deeply carbonized.

Compared with ordinary charcoal, its dense construction provides a steadier and longer-lasting heat source with relatively little unwanted smoke once properly ignited, making it particularly useful for restaurants and kitchens that grill continuously throughout service.

The natural pieces vary in shape and size, giving this charcoal a more rustic format than the finely selected round grades of Japanese Kishu Binchotan while providing an excellent option for regular professional use.

Why Laos Binchotan

  • Sustained Heat: Dense hardwood charcoal maintains useful grilling heat over an extended cooking session.
  • Clean Grilling: Produces relatively little unwanted smoke and odor once fully ignited.
  • Professional Format: Well suited to repeat restaurant use and continuous charcoal-grill service.
  • Versatile: Suitable for skewers, seafood, meats and vegetables across a range of charcoal grilling styles.
  • Excellent Value: A practical alternative for kitchens that want the characteristics of dense white charcoal without the premium associated with Japanese Kishu Binchotan.

Recommended Uses

Ideal for yakitori, robatayaki, kushiyaki, yakiniku, seafood, grilled meats, vegetables and other professional charcoal-grilling applications.

It is especially suitable for restaurants requiring a dependable charcoal bed for regular service while preserving the natural flavor of the food.

Lighting & Use

Dense white charcoal requires more time to ignite than conventional lump charcoal. Light thoroughly using a charcoal chimney, gas burner or an established bed of hot charcoal before transferring to the grill.

Allow the charcoal to become fully established and glowing before beginning to cook. Pieces can then be arranged to create stronger and gentler heat zones as required.

Storage & Safety

Keep dry and store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from moisture and sources of ignition.

For outdoor use or properly ventilated commercial cooking environments only. Burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide. Never use in an enclosed or inadequately ventilated space.
