Petra Hebo Costa Toscana IGT 2023

Costa Toscana IGT Tuscany, Italy Red Blend 2023 Vintage 750ml

Official Description

Petra Hebo is a Costa Toscana IGT red that expresses the fresh, approachable and Mediterranean character of the Tuscan Coast.

The blend brings together 55% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Franc from the San Lorenzo and Riotorto areas of the Petra estate.

Bright and fruit-driven, Hebo combines black cherry, blueberry and floral notes with mineral nuances and the aromatic character of Mediterranean scrubland. Its light, fresh and savoury palate is framed by gentle, finely tailored tannins.

The Tuscan Coast

Petra is located in Suvereto on the Tuscan Coast, where vineyards are shaped by the influence of the nearby sea, Mediterranean vegetation and varied coastal soils.

Hebo draws its fruit from San Lorenzo and Riotorto, two areas within the estate that contribute distinct characteristics to the final blend.

San Lorenzo is particularly associated with Merlot, while the soils and conditions of Riotorto are well suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. Together with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc, they form a distinctly coastal Tuscan expression.

Why We Love It

Hebo shows the approachable side of Petra's Tuscan Coast identity. It brings together international varieties and Sangiovese without becoming heavy or overly extracted, keeping freshness and drinkability at the centre of the wine.

Black cherry and blueberry fruit, violet and peony florals, mineral nuances and Mediterranean herbs give it plenty of character, while concrete ageing preserves a juicy palate and gentle tannins.

It is a versatile Tuscan red for occasions when you want genuine regional character without the weight or formality of a more structured cellar wine.
