MICHEL COUVREUR PALE SINGLE-SINGLE FLORAL MALT WHISKY
Independent bottler Michel Couvreur was originally a producer and merchant of Burgundy wine. He turned to the world of whiskey in 1978 and distilled for the first time in Edradour in 1986. At the time, he wanted to buy a distillery in Scotland but his wife was against it and they decided to settle in Bouze . -Lès-Beaune , halfway between Scotland and Andalusia, and to intervene in the breeding of whiskeys; mainly in Sherry and Port casks. The range is very varied and a meticulous work of assembly, selection of new barrels, unusual techniques is undertaken daily. Since his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandracontinue the work of Michel Couvreur.
Pale Single Single is a 12 year old aged in Sherry Amontillado barrels in Burgundy.

Nose - Fresh and well fruity initially. Vegetal (tea thyme-lemon). Simple and direct.
