Tequila 30-30 Añejo
Official Description
Tequila 30-30 Añejo is a 100% Blue Agave tequila from Casa 30-30, produced in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
Oak maturation develops a rich and complex aromatic profile, bringing together stewed and candied fruit, cooked agave, vanilla and dark chocolate with floral, toasted and spiced notes.
On the palate, the tequila is notably rich and full in texture, with barrel-derived flavours of toast, pepper, vanilla, coffee and cacao leading into an unusual refreshing mint note on the finish.
Official Tasting Profile
Appearance
Pale yellow with golden reflections, bright and clean, with high apparent density. The legs fall slowly and the crown remains, indicating its rich texture.
Nose
Highly aromatic and complex, opening with stewed-fruit character, subtle barrel aromas and pronounced herbal notes.
With further aeration, notes of stewed apple, candied orange and sweet potato emerge alongside floral aromas. Cooked agave contributes a honeyed character, while the barrel adds subtle vanilla and dark chocolate.
Palate
Rich and noticeably unctuous in texture, confirming the density suggested by its appearance.
Toasted and spiced barrel notes become prominent, including pepper, vanilla, coffee and cacao, followed by a distinctive mint character that refreshes the palate on the finish.
Agave & Origin
Casa 30-30 uses Blue Agave Tequilana Weber as the principal raw material for its tequila production.
The producer particularly values agave harvested in Los Altos de Jalisco because of its naturally high proportion of sugars.
Agroindustria Guadalajara was founded in Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, in 1995 by a group of local agave growers, establishing Casa 30-30 as a family-owned Mexican tequila producer rooted in the region's agave-growing tradition.

Production
Production begins with mature Blue Agave Tequilana Weber cultivated within the Tequila Denomination of Origin.
Following jima, the agave hearts are quartered and cooked in 23,000kg-capacity ovens for approximately 14 hours.
The cooked agave is shredded and milled through a four-stage system to extract the juices used for fermentation.
Fermentation takes place in 25,500-litre stainless-steel tanks for approximately 72 to 78 hours before two distillations. Casa 30-30 retains only the heart of each distillation.
Añejo Maturation
Casa 30-30 matures its tequila in previously used American white oak barrels.
The producer states that its Añejo and Extra Añejo tequilas remain in oak for approximately 18 to 32 months, with maturation times controlled and certified by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila.
For Tequila 30-30 Añejo, the barrel influence is clearly expressed through vanilla, dark chocolate, toast, pepper, coffee and cacao notes while cooked agave remains evident.

Why We Love It
Tequila 30-30 Añejo develops considerable aromatic complexity while keeping cooked agave clearly present beneath its mature barrel character.
The combination of stewed fruit, candied orange, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, cacao, pepper and the unexpected freshness of mint gives this Añejo a particularly distinctive profile for premium sipping.
