Descendientes de J. Palacios Moncerbal Bierzo 2013
Product Description
Moncerbal 2013 is a site-driven Bierzo from Descendientes de J. Palacios, the project of Ricardo Pérez Palacios and Álvaro Palacios. The wine is centered on old-vine Mencía grown on steep, poor soils in the hills around Corullón.
Vineyard & Winemaking
The vineyards are worked by hand on steep slopes, with low yields and careful selection. Traditional, restrained winemaking emphasizes perfume, freshness, mineral character and the individuality of the site.
Tasting Profile
Nose
Red berries, violet, herbs and mineral notes with subtle spice.
Palate
Fine and energetic, with fresh acidity, silky tannins and a long, mineral finish.
